GET RID OF THE HEADACHE: How We Help Dealerships Make the Most of CAE. Selling an electric car is already a process with more layers than an onion: financing, insurance, registration, public aid... And on top of that, lately, there's a word that's starting to sound
Selling an electric car is already, in itself, a process with more layers than an onion: financing, insurance, registration, government aid… And on top of that, for some time now, there's a word that's starting to be heard more and more at the sales counters: CAE.
If you still don't know exactly what it is or why you should pay attention to it, don't worry. That's what we're here for. And if you already know about it, but just thinking about it makes you feel lazy, even better, because that's what this post is about: getting that headache out of the way for good.
What is this CAE thing?
Energy Savings Certificates (CAE) are an official mechanism, backed by the Ministry for Ecological Transition, that recognizes and financially rewards the energy savings generated by certain actions. One of them, included in the technical sheet TR050, is precisely the one that interests us most in the sector: replacing a combustion vehicle with a 100% electric one.
Put simply: when a customer swaps their petrol or diesel car for an electric one, that change generates energy savings that can be certified and turned into real money.
But be careful, this isn't just paperwork: it's a sales tool
Here's the part our dealerships value the most. The CAE isn't just an administrative formality in the background: it's a sales argument. The customer perceives it as an additional discount on their electric vehicle (even though it doesn't have to be reflected as such on the invoice), and that translates into a very powerful closing lever for the sales team. That “plus, with this car you can get money back through the CAE” closes many more deals than it seems.
In other words: what is bureaucracy for others, at Dealerbest we turn it into another commercial tool, ready to use at the counter.
That's why the Network of Dealerships Adhered to Smart Benefits was born
All this work, done consistently and with results that stand the test of time, is what has led us to go one step further. The Network of Dealerships Adhered to Smart Benefits is born, an initiative promoted by Dealerbest that brings together dealerships sharing the same philosophy: offering their customers a more complete, more efficient and more profitable experience.
If your dealership is part of this Network, it means that, in addition to helping you sell vehicles, we work with you to offer your customers more services, more savings and more solutions throughout their entire mobility experience. The CAE is just one piece of that machinery, but it's one of the ones that best demonstrates how we see it: we take on the headache, you get the sale closed.
It's not just another certification to hang on the wall. It's a movement. And movements, when they're real, generate much more desire to join than any seal or diploma.
Our part:
At Dealerbest, we handle all the CAE management from start to finish. We don't “help you”, we manage it ourselves, exclusively. The dealership doesn't have to learn about energy regulations, chase documents, or wait weeks without knowing what's happening with the file.
How do we make it so simple? With a service that truly is turnkey: by scanning a QR code, the dealership kicks off the entire process. From there, we take care of everything else.
