Chinchilla joins the towns that want to improve the quality of life of their residents

It may not reach 5,000 inhabitants, but it already has its own carsharing!
That's the case of Chinchilla de Monte-Aragón, a small municipality in Albacete, 17 kilometres from the capital that gives its province its name.
But what is carsharing?
A “carsharing” (or shared car) is a car that anyone with a driving licence can use for as long as they need it. That's right, a car for all the residents of Chinchilla.
All you need is an app on your phone to book, open and close the vehicle. Amazing, right?
VIVe, a different kind of carsharing. A rural carsharing
But Chinchilla's case is not a normal one, because this is VIVe, the first 100% electric shared car service for rural towns in Spain.
And all of this is part of the Hyundai VIVe project, in which two major companies such as Hyundai and Dealerbest are collaborating. From now on, the residents of Chinchilla will have access to an emission-free vehicle so that they can enjoy a freedom of movement that was previously hard to imagine.
Mobility arrives where it is needed most
A carsharing service in a municipality like Chinchilla is simply a wonderful idea.
Over the last few decades, we have seen how many of the towns across our country have been emptying out, and in parallel, how essential services for their residents, such as public transport (now practically non-existent), have been disappearing.
This project by Hyundai demonstrates its commitment not only to people (improving the quality of life of its residents), but also to the environment (as it is 100% electric).
The more technical side: another success for the Korean and Spanish brands
If VIVe had to be defined in two words, they would be simple and versatile.
Simple because the Madrid-based company Dealerbest has developed a surprisingly easy-to-use mobile app that hasn't skimped on features or design. With it, managing car bookings and payments is intuitive and therefore doesn't discriminate by age.
But it is also versatile because the Hyundai KONA electric is not only environmentally friendly, generating zero emissions, but its compact SUV model makes it suitable for use on the most rural roads (with a range of 485 km in combined use and 699 km in the city). In other words, a real luxury.
The residents of Chinchilla will have the opportunity to enjoy its exclusive use for 3 months at no cost, so they can see first-hand what the carsharing service that Hyundai's VIVe wanted to implement in their town is like.
Now all that's left is to go to this beautiful town on the outskirts of Albacete and try out its new carsharing service with the VIVe app.
