DealerBest recognized at the Stela awards thanks to the diversity of its team

On April 24, the Stela 2019 awards ceremony took place, a gala organized by Down Madrid.

The Stela Down Madrid employment service acts as a bridge between companies and people, giving companies the opportunity to find talent and filling them with diversity.

Dealerbest was among the organizations recognized.

Yesterday, the Stela 2019 awards by Down Madrid were held. At this gala, all companies that have committed to the labor integration of people with intellectual disabilities during this year are recognized. In total, a group of 40 companies was recognized for hiring 48 people in very varied positions. The event took place in the auditorium of the Ramón Areces Foundation, located in Madrid. The organizer of the awards was the renowned Down Madrid foundation.

The Down Madrid foundation aims to facilitate and promote the social and labor integration of people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities in regular work environments, through what they call Supported Employment.

The award was received by Yolanda Fernández, HR director and partner at Dealerbest, thanks to the work offered through the integration of people with disabilities in the regular work environment.

"How rewarding it is to contribute our grain of sand so that more and more people with intellectual disabilities have access to the labor market and have opportunities to show us how well they can perform their jobs and integrate as one more member within the organization" says Yolanda.

At Dealerbest, Irene works, mainly performing administrative tasks. She moves across several departments, notably the Used Vehicles, New Vehicles, and Administration departments, and says she is very comfortable. Thanks to the Down Madrid Foundation and her mentor, Gema Molina, who has accompanied her throughout the entire onboarding phase, she has been able to integrate in a natural way. Gema has done an excellent job, facilitating all integration processes and serving as a communicative bridge between departments.

Foundations like Down Madrid work to serve society and provide that motivation to support companies in filling themselves with diversity. People with disabilities have the possibility of consciously being part of it and putting all their skills into play, filling organizations with diverse people.

Dealerbest advocates for achieving real inclusion of people with disabilities and having a standardized integration environment.
