Hyundai brings new mobility to rural Spain

Aware of the difficulties and limitations of rural Spain in terms of available transport alternatives, Hyundai is bringing VIVe, a new 100% electric and sustainable shared mobility model, to the least accessible areas of our country.

After the project's first launch in Campisálabos, a municipality in the province of Guadalajara considered the town with the cleanest air in Spain according to the World Health Organization, La Hiruela, a village located in the mountains of Madrid, has been the setting chosen to inaugurate this mobility model.

The 57 registered residents of La Hiruela now have access to VIVe services, with an electric Hyundai KONA vehicle at their disposal to cover their transport needs through a sustainable shared mobility model that is respectful of the environment.

Dealerbest, a leading company in providing solutions for the automotive sector, collaborates on this project, the first 100% electric rural carsharing initiative, by making its technology available to Hyundai. Through the Hyundai VIVe Rural Carsharing app developed by Dealerbest, users can quickly and easily manage vehicle reservations and unlock it for use, as well as access the fleet available in their parking area. The app ensures proper use of the service and accessibility for all residents of the municipality, limiting reservations to a maximum of 24 hours or trips within a radius of up to 150 km.

In addition to the Hyundai VIVe Rural Carsharing app, Dealerbest is involved in this project by providing Hyundai with the chargers for recharging the vehicles.

Following the launch of VIVe in La Hiruela, Hyundai aims to bring this new shared rural mobility model to more than 40 Spanish towns before the end of 2020, and reach 80 by 2021.
