Mora de Rubielos launches 3 months of FREE rural carsharing

The small municipality of Mora de Rubielos, in Teruel, now has its own rural carsharing service thanks to VIVe by Hyundai and the dealership from the Hyundai Rimauto network.

VIVe is the initiative designed to provide residents of Spain's least populated municipalities with a means of transport that is accessible to everyone, affordable, and most importantly, easy to use.

And the VIVe carsharing services, already present in around twenty towns across Spain, prove to be the perfect example of cooperation between local councils, dealerships, and technology.

Pure synergy

On the one hand, we have a local council that wants its residents to enjoy a better quality of life.

On the other hand, we have a Hyundai dealership willing to provide one of its 100% electric cars to improve mobility for residents in its region.

Finally, Bequikly technology acts as the bridge between these two players, combining their strengths to create a carsharing service that doesn't harm the environment.

A carsharing service that improves life for everyone

Since July, residents registered in Mora de Rubielos have enjoyed a free mobility service for the first three months. After that, the service opens up to anyone who wants to use it and has the VIVe by Hyundai App.

From now on, they will have access to an extra car for everyday tasks such as going shopping or to the bank, or for spending a weekend in the mountains.

A car that, it must be said, couldn't be better suited for non-urban terrain.

The Hyundai KONA electric, which is already driving through the municipalities of southern Teruel, is an all-terrain SUV with a range of 485 km in combined use and up to almost 700 km in the city. In other words, green versatility in its purest form.

VIVe's vision is simple: to improve mobility for all residents of depopulated rural Spain, without contributing to greenhouse gas emissions.

That's why it's no surprise that the mayor of Mora de Rubielos welcomed the project as soon as he heard about it.

And VIVe succeeds wherever it goes, and has set its sights on reaching the milestone of 80 VIVe towns by the end of 2021.

Furthermore, we haven't mentioned this until now, but Hyundai installs the car charger and covers the cost. So there's no good reason not to jump on the sustainable mobility bandwagon.
