The “Cambia 360” Plan Returns: Get Up to €8,500 Off the Purchase of Your Efficient Vehicle

Following the success of the previous edition of the Cambia 360 aid scheme, Madrid City Council has decided to launch a new call for applications, doubling the initial budget to 10.5 million euros. At Dealerbest we tell you everything you need to know to benefit from it.

These grants, aimed at boosting the purchase of efficient vehicles, offer companies and individuals a maximum discount of 8,500 euros for those who buy an electric or low-emission vehicle and hand in an old one to be scrapped.

The amount varies depending on the vehicle model to be purchased:

• For the purchase of a zero-emission vehicle, you can get up to 6,000 euros off. This group includes battery electric and hydrogen cars.
• If, on the other hand, you prefer to buy an ECO vehicle, the grant goes up to 3,000 euros off.

In both cases, the subsidy will increase by 2,500 euros if you offer a vehicle for scrapping without an environmental badge, i.e. those with a petrol engine first registered before 2000 or a diesel registered before 2006.

But that's not all: owners of vehicles with a C badge are also eligible for a 2,500-euro subsidy, provided they trade in an unbadged vehicle for scrapping.

All these amounts may be increased by 10% if the beneficiary can prove they are a large family or have reduced mobility.
