DealerBest Green Dealership, our comprehensive energy consulting and advisory service for car dealerships and manufacturers, adds a new partner to its Electric Mobility section. In this section, we focus our activity on the generation and charging of electric vehicles, facilities that have a greater impact than might be expected in terms of power and billing.
Wynnertech, a company with Chinese and Spanish capital, specializes in power electronics for large (very large) wind and photovoltaic farms and is a pioneer in the development of high-capacity, high-efficiency power inverters. With their unmatched engineering, we have developed an energy control and supply system for dealerships, adding savings to the growth of the facilities.
Systematic and regulated power management
We start from the premise that electric vehicle chargers (or plug-in hybrids) will grow in number and power every year, along with the fact that these chargers have an activity directly related to that of the dealership. Broadly speaking, chargers come into action when the rest of the facilities are running at full capacity. This reality has a very clear immediate consequence: power peaks are drastically increased. In turn, this means that energy bills will include penalties if the contracted power is insufficient or, alternatively, that the contracted power will be much higher than what the dealership, on average, needs. In either case, the cost of energy is much higher than it should be.
Therefore, at DealerBest we combine our experience in dealerships and our background as managers of electrical installations with Wynnertech's technology, enabling dealerships to drastically reduce their power peaks. On the one hand, we install global control software that allows all dealership facilities to regulate their activity automatically, taking as reference environmental variables, the activity of the rest of the facilities, and the standards set for them. On the other hand, we install batteries at the dealership that store energy when the activity of the rest of the facilities is low and when generation facilities (if any) produce surpluses. With all this, we reduce electricity demand and provide additional energy during peak activity periods.
Thus, Green Dealerships are the best positioned to face the new reality of electric mobility, which in the medium term will be the engine of the automotive industry. Without extra costs, with full control and knowledge of their facilities, and with efficient, cutting-edge equipment.
