Today we are in La Hiruela with a Hyundai VIVe car and with Paco Díaz, CEO of Dealerbest and creator and promoter of Bequikly. Paco, what can you tell us about VIVe and how does it affect the towns of Spain?
VIVe is a wonderful project promoted by Hyundai to bring the towns of the so-called “emptied Spain” closer, integrating a model that breaks the paradigm of mobility as we know it in cities. A very coherent model appears within a town like the one we are in right now in the Sierra de Madrid, which is a biosphere reserve. It is called La Hiruela, where VIVe becomes an ideal complement for transport and also a possibility of savings for the residents of this town.
For the inhabitants of a town like La Hiruela, what advantages does the use of the technology provided by Bequikly offer?
The advantages are multiple. From the point of view of the Town Council, it offers residents a very coherent mobility model that complements public transport with the possibility of taking residents anywhere, from doctors, 25 kilometres away, to other towns in the area where there are family and friends. Bequikly generates a very interesting mobility possibility in rural areas.
What great advantages does the emergence of a mobility model like this offer dealerships?
For dealerships it is also magnificent. Until now, for a dealership, the possibilities of marketing its cars or services depended on the customer walking through the door or connecting with it digitally. Breaking with that paradigm, we are now present in very specific places, generating demand for a very coherent service in rural areas. In other words, for the dealership it is a great benefit, although the greatest benefit is for all those involved in this project.
“Bequikly is proof that a dealership can be present in the mobility of people in depopulated areas or in the mobility of professionals.”
Is Bequikly the future for dealerships and for vehicle sales?
Is Bequikly the future? Well, I hope so. What is clear is that there are areas of mobility that dealerships are not taking advantage of in a future full of investments such as those made by official dealerships in Spain. And I believe that Bequikly is proof that a dealership can be present in the mobility of people in depopulated areas or in the mobility of professionals who work for large companies. I would say that Bequikly will serve as a milestone and this is one of the first buttons we are pressing in mobility for dealerships in Spain.
What role does Dealerbest play in all this mobility “intricacy”?
Dealerbest is the company that works to make dealerships stronger in the scenarios of distribution, vehicle sales and mobility in general. We have the advantage of observing the automotive sector from an absolutely peripheral point of view. And on the other hand, we are a team of professionals from the sector who work for the sector. Therefore, together we will ensure that the distribution network in Spain takes centre stage.
Finally, a new trend is subscription vehicles, isn't it?
It is a great opportunity, really. Until recently, we were giving up part of the business to financial companies to launch purchase or rental models. With these proposals that integrate the car, technology and uses, dealerships will be able to offer customers vehicles for any alternative of time frame or project. For example, companies that have peaks of work. Models like ours, from the dealership network in Spain, can mean that suddenly, with one click, I have a car for a day or for many months.
