Sales positions are the most in-demand roles at Madrid dealerships.
Finding young sales talent and preparing them to join a dealership in the shortest possible time is the goal of the Madrid Automobile Dealers Association, which, with the support of dealerBest (a consultancy specialised in automotive services), is launching a new course to train salespeople, a profession that is in high demand at Madrid dealerships.
AMDA and DealerBest are looking for empathetic, sociable, communicative young people with an excellent attitude and a desire to take on new challenges, bringing enthusiasm and a drive for improvement. The profile includes young men and women working in other sectors, students in sales and marketing fields, and young people who, while not professionally part of the sector, have an interest or passion for the automotive industry. “We focus on young sales talent who want to have a present and a future in a sector where there is currently a shortage of staff and great opportunities for well-trained candidates,” says Moisés González, President of AMDA.
Through a b-Learning educational model, classroom training (IFEMA – Madrid) is combined with e-learning modules. The methodology is based on learning by doing, following a competency-based educational model. Participants will enhance their knowledge and experience within a sector as attractive and full of future as the automotive industry.
The training will follow different methodologies so that participants can strengthen their abilities and identify areas for improvement to work on during the various sessions. The subjects have been designed to look at the automobile distribution sector from a different perspective, refreshing traditional knowledge and incorporating social intelligence tools, new sales techniques, along with information technologies, lead management, social media, etc. “In general, students will take a journey through the new scenarios of the automobile distribution sector, which will make it possible to bring sales talent into dealerships according to the current needs of the market,” comments Paco Díaz, Managing Director of dealerBest.
Students trained at the AMDA Commercial Talent School will be monitored through a mentor whose goal will be to achieve the student's integration into the dealership from the start of their relationship with it. In addition, to ensure proper mentoring, DealerBest will follow up with the student until three months after their incorporation into the dealership. “Although the job is not 100% guaranteed, we can say that there are real possibilities that this could be the case at any of the associated dealerships,” assures the Managing Director of dealerBest.
The motto “unity is strength” is evident in the agreement that AMDA (Madrid Automobile Distribution Association) has reached with dealerBest to run a new AMDA Commercial Talent School course. Under this agreement, DealerBest will take part in selecting and training candidates to ensure their integration into AMDA-affiliated dealerships is a complete success, as well as in the direction and coordination of the course. As it is blended training, the classroom portion will take place at the IFEMA fairgrounds (Madrid) and in dealerBest fresh spaces, while the practical part will be carried out directly at dealerships associated with AMDA.
The value of DealerBest's follow-up with students truly sets it apart from other sales schools. dealerBest currently has professionals with extensive experience in the automotive sector who will actively participate in training the candidates and who are currently in touch with the sector.
