Want to know the experience of city councils that have already incorporated VIVe in their municipalities?

This November we are coming on strong! We want to show you the benefits of incorporating a shared and sustainable mobility project in your town. To do this, we have conducted interviews in some of the municipalities where VIVe is already a great success. Are you ready?

First of all, we had the opportunity to interview Lourdes Ramos, mayor of Gádor, a small town located inland in Almería, which has been using VIVe since the beginning of the year. Lourdes has told us how mobility and the quality of life in her municipality and for all its inhabitants have improved. Let's take a look!

  • How did you learn about VIVe and why did you decide to incorporate a project like this in Gádor?

We learned about VIVe thanks to Hyundai. We found out about the possibility of bringing an electric car to Gádor for the service of the municipality and its residents. The brand explained to me how the VIVe app worked, especially for opening and closing the vehicle. That's when we got to know this wonderful and exciting project, which is also beneficial for our town.

  • Why do you think a shared and sustainable mobility project can work well in a municipality like Gádor?

Gádor is a municipality inland from Almería, 17 kilometers from the capital, and VIVe is a very interesting project because not everyone here has a vehicle. Many people use public transport to get around and have to combine bus schedules with their needs, such as medical appointments or school meetings. VIVe seemed attractive to me because having a car to run different errands is useful for the population, and the response has been very positive. It is a great way to add another quality service to the municipality.

  • Besides being an alternative to transport, what other benefits has VIVe provided to the municipality and its residents?

Apart from helping the environment because it is a non-polluting car, we have gotten to know the world of electric vehicles. In Gádor we hardly have any cars of this type, and all the residents who have learned about it really like this option. We want to open the door to new technology and sustainability. I believe that all Public Administrations should think about the environment, and VIVe is a good example.

Do you find the app easy to use when booking the vehicle?

It is very simple, and there have been no problems for any user. We gave some prior explanations through a video tutorial that we made on the day the car was presented, and people understood it very well. There is no problem with the app; it is easy and intuitive. On the platform itself, all the explanations before taking the car, and even when you are going to return it, are very well explained. It is very difficult to make a mistake because it is presented in such a simple way that everyone can understand it. So, congratulations!

What do you think of the customer service provided by the team that manages VIVe?

Outstanding! Whenever you call by phone due to any setback, they resolve it immediately. There are good people behind the phone who manage the platform very well, and my sincere congratulations because I have no complaints in that regard. There has been continuous digital support.

Have you been able to talk to the residents who use VIVe? What is their opinion of the project?

I have spoken with some of them. Gádor is a small town where we all know each other. We see the people who take the car, and whenever I have asked them, they have told me they are very happy with the service. They also say things like: "I hope it never ends." When I ask them about the platform, they tell me they have no problems. Just yesterday, a resident called me asking how she could download the app. I explained it to her, and within 10 minutes she had already requested the car. The responses are always favorable towards the project and the technology that drives it.

  • Have the expectations you had when starting this project been met?

Yes, more than met! The first three months were a free service, and the acceptance was tremendous. From the fourth month onwards, when it became a paid service, residents asked about it, but I made them understand that a very satisfactory pilot test had been carried out, by the way, and people understood. After all, you have an electric car at your service for a cost of €2 per hour. People have accepted it and are using it.

  • Do you recommend VIVe to the rest of the municipalities in Spain? Why?

Yes, I recommend it. We have to venture into the future that is coming and adapt to the world of electric cars and all the changes that will happen over time. I am determined to change the mobility model in our municipality and, after getting to know VIVe, we are going to bet on electric cars.

Don't lose track of us! To show you that we are serious and that Gádor is not an isolated case, very soon you will be able to enjoy interviews from other towns where they will tell us about their experience with VIVe. For now, you can watch this video interview by clicking here.

And if you have already realized that VIVe is the project your municipality was waiting for, don't delay any longer and contact us. There are many advantages you can get with it, and the first three months are FREE How could you say no?
